Objective
Financial Accounting Workshops are designed to give
the CFA® candidate a true understanding of the accounting material and
confidence to those who may not deal with these issues everyday. Even those
candidates who complete an all-inclusive review course often feel ill-prepared for the
complex accounting topics.
Instructor
The workshop instructor is John A. Harris.
John is a Certified Public Accountant and CFA charterholder with more than 20 years of
experience in credit and financial management. He has a comprehensive grasp of
financial accounting issues, as well as the ability to make those issues understandable
and applicable in daily practice.
John received both an MBA and MS from the
University of North Texas and a BBA from Texas Tech University. He has lectured
for the Boston University Exam Review, the Dallas Society of Financial Analysts, the
Financial Analysts Society of South Africa, the Houston Society of Financial Analysts, the
Italian Society of Investment Professionals, the Netherlands Society of Investment
Professionals, the Swiss Society of Investment Professionals, Texas Christian University,
the Twin Cities Society of Security Analysts, the UK Society of Investment Professionals,
and the University of Texas at Arlington Center for Professional Development.
